OMG what a brilliant conversation! I generally tend to drift off after a few minutes of listening but your guest and you were so on point that I've listened all the way through. Please share the link for the guy you mentioned who writes about health. Also as a gardener I have to say that you absolutely don't have to be limited by the climate you live in because that's where all the preserving and fermenting comes in. Things like apples, potatoes, cabbages, nuts and many other root veg can store almost through the whole winter as they are under the right conditions. Beans, apples and herbs can be dried. Fruit made into jams and compotes. Tomatoes, cabages and mushrooms fermented. Berries can be frozen. There is really a lot that can be grown during the warmer months and then preserved for the winter to keep that wholesome food eating going 😀
Thanks so much Katherine! I'm glad you enjoyed the conversation considering how much ground we covered lol. I could've chatted all day with Brent!
The health guy I mentioned is Tim Ebl who writes Time 2 Thrive on Substack.
Also, thanks for all these tips. I'm already thinking ahead to frozen berries and rhubarb to make crisps all winter long 😁 I love winter, such a cozy season full of hearty food.
What a great conversation. And it really went sideways into health and diet lol
Takeaways:
"You only get one chance at it." That's so true. We need to intentionally build our lives and our health.
"The system is broken. They want you to be sick." This really seems to be the case.
"It all starts with what you put in your mouth." Yes!
On the subject of grounding: In the winter, it is hard. But! If you can get to a swimming pool or hot tub you will totally ground out while in the water.
🙌🏻 enjoyed this video!!
Thanks Phil!! I really enjoyed it too!

Hahaha totally sideways, right? We were all over the map and I loved it! It was kind of weird/neat diving in with a stranger.
On all the health points, I was as fascinated as I am with info you share. I love that people are seeing the light with their health and wellness.
