Yup, I teared up halfway into the video. I recently joined Substack and will share my first post this week. Substack is kind of my 'wildhood' in ONE way. I started horseback riding two months ago—a dream come true. I'm unsure how I came across your page, but I'm glad I did. Thank you for taking the leap, Kristi. Love your writing too.
Hi Christie!!! I'm glad you stopped by to cry at my newsletter 😁 The name of your Substack basically has the same meaning as mine....we're all on some kind of quest. Welcome to the Stack and I hope you have an awesome journey here!
PS: I had a horse when I was a teenager. Some of the best years of my life were spent on the back of a horse ♥
“It’s about squeezing in your cardio by running from adult responsibilities once in a while and living as though you don’t have a care in the world, even if you do.”
Just checked out the video Kristi. Certainly provokes "throat lumping" thought. Why is it so easy to think and see, yet so hard to do? Life gets way too much in the way. Good morning and good thoughts to start the day.
Kristi, I kept reading this again and again and again! What a great post/story you have written. I have learned so much. Simply, LOVED IT! Let's stay connected.
"...depending how you choose to define it. It’s up to you to live your life according to whatever brings you comfort, joy.." -- I align so much with this. That's what drives my work too!
It's fantastic! I love that line "you are out there' - it's perfect. For me though wild comes through being home on the farm, sharing that with the birds and animals that shelter here with me. I have a beautiful patch of very old trees that I get to share space with. It's magical.
I love this line!!! ...”It’s about squeezing in your cardio by running from adult responsibilities...” The direction of your newsletter is really coming together.
Same!! That line stood out to me as well! Made me smile while inviting me to stop living for the “shoulds” of life and instead listen to the desires of my soul. 💖
Best newsletter headline ever!
Hahaha thank you Abbey!! I really put lots of thought into my headlines so I appreciate that 😁
This is beautiful. ❤️

Love this!! YES!! 🙌

I knew sooner or later somebody would resonate with that part 😊
Wow, this is such a fun Substack! And super powerful video!
Thanks Serena! Yeah I have never been able to let go of that video from the first time I saw it. So powerful!
OMG... that video literally stopped my day. I will now be going outside. Thank you.
Right!!!! Isn't it so impactful?

It IS hard to do! I've done it and it still didn't look like this. It's much more complicated 😕

Thank you so much Anshul! I really appreciate your feedback and praise 😊
Brilliant!!
This is great, Kristi! I wore chacos to my federal government job fairly regularly. They were my feet’s version of yoga pants
Mine was a government job too 😁 Amazing what we could get away with in those cubicles! I also wrote my travel blog on company time 😂

Oh my god, that video! And wildhood, what a fabulous word.
Great one, my fellow nomader.
Doesn't that video punch right in the gut??
Thank you and welcome to the 'hood 😊
I love your featured images. Which AI tool do you use to create them? Firefly? :D
Thank you Kristina! So far I only use Canva Pro for images. But not all are AI generated. 90% are ready-made graphics Canva has in stock.
Fantastic post - loved the video!
Isn't it a great little story in that video?

That sounds wonderful!
That's the coolest thing about our individual wildhoods...it can be whatever we want it to be!

Thank you so much Elle 😊 I really appreciate you saying that and joining in the journey!
Make up our own title!?!?
I’m officially the Head Unicorn Wrangler of Rocky Mountain House. Need a unicorn wrangled? I’m your guy.
Yes I need a unicorn!!
I love that title 😁😁 I think everyone should have one.
